We recently went through the process of assessing our daughter for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dr Thakur was incredibly thorough, patient and extremely knowledgeable in her areas of expertise. As my daughters father and I separated some years ago it was a very difficult process for all of us, however, Dr Thakur ensured the process was fair, taking into account everyones views. Our daughter was diagnosed with Aspergers, which brought much relief to me, knowing now this to be the reason for much of her behaviours and traits. We are now able to help her and seek the best and most relevant help and support that she will need going forwards. I can’t thank and recommend Dr Thakur enough to anyone who maybe considering using her. In particular as our daughter is so young and it is well known that this is a very difficult disorder to diagnose in young girls in particular. Thank you so much.

I have to say that Dr Thakur was excellent. She took the time to listen to me and my husband about our son and our concerns. She gathered all relevant information and even helped us to chase a test result that we had been waiting for for 6 months. She was also great with our son and very personable and professional. Would recommend her to anyone looking for support for their children.

Our initial assessment with Dr Thakur was incredibly positive. She saw us incredibly quickly and had absorbed a lot of base line information from various reports I had sent in advance so we used the time efficiently. She immediately engaged with my daughter and throughout our discussion, was discreetly observing her behaviour and language and engaging her in play. We now have agreed a way forward which is incredibly thorough but also practical in getting my daughter the support she needs.

Meeting Dr Thakur for the first time was such a positive experience. She listened to all we had to say in explaining our concerns and was incredibly personable and proactive in providing our son and our family with the support that was needed. It makes such a difference to have someone who connects with your child and empowers you as a parent and trusts your own instincts. Dr Thakur remembers the significant details Which she has been told which is such a special quality and makes all the difference. We’ve been on quite a journey with Dr Thakur and trust her judgement implicitly. When we were going through our EHCP process she came into school to give her expert input as well as helping us in supplying relevant evidence, both of which were invaluable. Teachers at school still comment on the time she attended the meeting and the insight she gave them. There have been many phone conversations that have been so reassuring over the years & so appreciated when an appointment in person can sometimes increase anxiety. I wholeheartedly cannot recommend Dr Thakur highly enough, she is an absolute credit to her profession..

We met Dr Thakur at our first community paediatrician appointment. She was great with my son and made us feel very comfortable. She came across as very proactive and understood our concerns. She took the time to listen to us and helped with referrals.
